Josh, a licensed social worker in New York City

Hi, I'm Josh.

Licensed social worker living in New York City.

I've volunteered and worked at places like:

New York Cares Brooklyn Defender Services Mount Sinai Crisis Text Line Special Olympics 826 Valencia Young Storytellers

I also love credit card points hacking. I've been using the Paze promos to treat friends and family to free Dunkin' the last couple of months. I realized this is a great opportunity, especially ahead of the winter season, to have a dedicated account where I can give away hot coffee, tea, and breakfast sandwiches to those who need it most in New York City.

I'm creating this public page so that if you still have Paze promos left on your credit cards, you can send a $10 Dunkin' gift card to the email address below, which I'll use exclusively to provide food and beverages to those who need it most.

Just drop this in as the recipient email at Dunkin' checkout.

How to send one

Three steps, about two minutes.

You buy a $10 Dunkin' gift card through Paze checkout, send it to hello@coffeeforneighbors.org, and get your $10 back as a statement credit. So it doesn't actually cost you anything.

1

Open Dunkin' checkout

In the Dunkin' app, tap the menu, then Send Gift Cards. Pick $10 and any card design you like.

2

Send it to me

Choose Email delivery and put hello@coffeeforneighbors.org in as the recipient email address.

3

Pay with Paze, get $10 back

Select Paze at checkout so the $10-off-$10 offer applies, then hit submit. Your bank posts the $10 credit within a couple billing cycles.

The fine print, in plain terms

How the Paze promo works.

New to this? Here's the whole thing laid out. If you're already a points person, you can probably skip it.

What exactly is the Paze offer? +

Paze is a free online checkout wallet backed by the major U.S. banks. When you check out with Paze at a participating store and spend $10 or more in one transaction, you get a $10 statement credit back on that card.

You can earn it up to 10 times per eligible card, so that's up to $100 back on each card, and there's no limit on how many different cards you use. The offer runs June 15 through September 10, 2026. The credit lands on your statement within about two billing cycles. It isn't an instant discount at checkout.

All the official terms are on Paze's offers page .

Why Dunkin' gift cards specifically? +

A $10 Dunkin' digital gift card is one of the cleanest ways left to hit that $10 minimum. You buy it through Paze checkout, and Dunkin' lets you send it to any email or phone number.

You pay $10, you get $10 back, and a New Yorker gets a warm drink out of it. Everybody wins.

Heads up: availability moves around. Some weeks Dunkin' limits how many gift cards you can buy per day, usually one per card every 24 hours, and other weeks they loosen it. If a purchase gets blocked, just wait a day and try again.
Do I need the Paze offer to appear at checkout? +

Yep. Per the terms, if the $10-off-$10 offer banner doesn't show up during Paze checkout, or Paze isn't there as a payment option, the transaction won't count. So make sure you actually see the offer before you pay.

A couple of gotchas people run into: your Paze email should match your Dunkin' account email, and Dunkin' sometimes throws an error if you've placed an order in the last 24 to 48 hours.

Is there a limit to how much Dunkin' can hold? +

There is, and it's worth explaining.

A single Dunkin' card can hold up to $125 at a time. You can keep up to 5 cards in an account and merge their balances onto one primary card. So the most that can sit in the app at any one moment is $625, or $600 if you're just sending $10 cards.

Up to $625 held at once

Here's the thing though. That's only about what the app can hold in one moment, not a cap on how much I can give away. The gift cards you send don't expire. As I spend the balance down buying coffee and sandwiches for folks, space opens back up and I load in the next batch. So please send a card even if you figure the account is probably full. It'll get added the second there's room, and it just keeps going back out into the neighborhood all winter long.

Where do the gift cards actually go? +

Into one account I use only for this. It's completely separate from anything personal, and every dollar goes to hot coffee, tea, and breakfast sandwiches for people who need them around the city.

Just so we're clear: this is a neighbor to neighbor thing, not a registered charity. It isn't tax deductible, and I'm not collecting anything from you except a gift card. It's just a little warmth passed along.

Where it's going.

I'll keep a running note here so you can see the coffee actually going back out.

Why now

Winter is the reason.

A hot coffee is a small thing that goes a long way, especially for those living on the street or who can't afford one. If you've got a promo you weren't going to use anyway, this is a way to turn it into something that actually reaches a person who needs it. Send one card, or send one from every eligible card you've got. All of it goes right back out onto the street to those who need it most.
